2 Corinthians 9:10

‘Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness’

It costs over £4,500 per week to run all of the activities which make up the mission and ministry of St John’s. Giving our time and our resources is part of our worship and thanksgiving to God for all that He is doing and has done.

St John’s receives no central funding, either from the Church authorities or from Government; everything we do has to be funded by our own congregations and supporters.

Regular Giving

Most of the costs are fixed costs, which means that it is wonderful when people choose to give on a regular basis. If you see St John’s as your spiritual home, and would like to support St John’s by being a regular giver, you can give in the following ways:

  • St John’s is linked with the Parish Giving Scheme, please click here for further information. You can sign up directly via this link. * The Parish Giving Scheme is centrally administered by the Church, with 100% of your gift being remitted to St John’s each month. The benefit for St John’s is that Gift Aid is collected for us and you have the option to index-link your gift.
  • Complete a standing order directly with your bank.

We also welcome one-off gifts towards the work of St John’s. If you would like to make a contribution towards our mission, please click on the ‘Donate’ button below.

Tax-efficient giving

If you are a tax payer you can Gift Aid your giving. This will add 25% to your donation, which is paid to us by the government.

*You can also pick up forms for Standing Orders, Parish Giving and Gift Aid from the church or contact the church office on 01323 738671 or at office@stjm.org.uk.

Legacies

You may also like to consider leaving a legacy to St John’s in your will. Please ask your solicitor when you make or change your will, or ask us for more information.

If you would like to speak to someone about a one-off or regular gift or about leaving a legacy, please contact David Scott-Ralphs at wardendavid@stjm.org.uk or Ian Pinder at treasurer@stjm.org.uk.

St John’s seeks to model generous giving by supporting a number of local and overseas mission partners with a proportion of our income. You can find out more about these by clicking on the link on this page.

Thank you for blessing the community of St John’s by your gift.
